Vinschool Competition Winners Experience University Life in Adelaide

03 Aug 2026
Three outstanding students from Vinschool in Vietnam recently travelled to Adelaide after winning the Adelaide University × Eynesbury College Pre-University Research Project Competition. As part of their prize, they took part in a week-long study experience hosted by Eynesbury College and Adelaide University, giving them a firsthand look at university study, world-leading research and student life in Adelaide.

Exploring the Eynesbury College Pathway to Adelaide University

The students began their visit at Eynesbury College, where they toured the campuses, met teaching and professional staff, and learned how the College helps international students prepare for university through its Foundation Studies and Diploma programs. Foundation Studies students learn at Eynesbury’s Coglin Street campus, while Diploma students study at Adelaide University’s Adelaide City Campus – East, giving them the opportunity to become familiar with university facilities, expectations and campus life from the start of their journey. During their visit, the students discovered how Eynesbury’s supportive learning environment, smaller class sizes and personalised support help students build the confidence and academic skills needed for university success.
The group explored more of Adelaide University’s Adelaide City Campus – East and visited research and innovation facilities including the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML) and the Australian Space Discovery Centre. These experiences helped them see how classroom learning can lead to real-world research, innovation and future career opportunities.
One of the highlights of the week was meeting with Adelaide University academics whose research aligned with the students’ award-winning projects. Covering areas such as artificial intelligence, aerospace engineering, environmental science and sustainability, these conversations provided valuable insights into future study pathways while connecting students with researchers working at the forefront of their fields.

Discovering Student Life in Adelaide

Beyond the classroom, the students experienced what makes Adelaide an attractive destination for international students.
They explored Adelaide Central Market, enjoyed the coastline at Glenelg and visited Cleland Wildlife Park, gaining a taste of South Australia’s lifestyle, culture and natural environment. The experience also gave them the opportunity to make new connections, ask questions about studying in Australia and begin imagining what their future as university students could look like.

A Partnership Creating Future Opportunities

The study tour reflects the strong partnership between Vinschool, Eynesbury College and Adelaide University, giving students the opportunity to experience Australian education before starting university. For more than 30 years, Eynesbury College has supported international students as they prepare for university study in Australia. Through quality teaching, personalised support and opportunities to engage with university facilities, academics and campus life, Eynesbury helps students build the skills and confidence to make a successful transition to Adelaide University.
Congratulations to the three Vinschool competition winners. We look forward to welcoming more talented students from Vietnam as they begin their own journey with Eynesbury College and take the next step towards their future studies in Adelaide.
