Employability Support Sessions

Get support to make your CV stand out. Gaining valuable work experience with a part-time or casual role while you study can help you land a job after your studies.

Improve Your Employability Skills

Studying in Australia is an exciting opportunity to gain knowledge, build professional networks, and develop skills that will help you succeed in your future career. Whether you’re looking for a casual job while studying, seeking volunteer opportunities, or preparing for your graduate career, gaining work experience can significantly improve your employment prospects.

Personalised Career Support

At Eynesbury College, we offer free one-on-one Employability Support Sessions with our Student Experience Coordinator. These personalised sessions are designed to give you tailored advice and practical guidance based on your goals, experience, and career interests.

During your session, you can receive support with:

  • Creating or improving your résumé (CV)
  • Writing effective job applications and cover letters
  • Learning how to search for jobs in Australia
  • Understanding employer expectations
  • Preparing for interviews
  • Finding volunteering opportunities to build your experience
  • Exploring part-time employment options while studying

Unlike group workshops, these individual sessions provide dedicated support focused on your specific needs, helping you feel more confident and prepared when entering the Australian job market.

Working While You Study

Many international students choose to work while studying to gain valuable experience, develop workplace skills, and earn additional income. Before starting work, it’s important to consider how many hours you can realistically commit without impacting your studies.

International students can work up to 48 hours per fortnight during term and unlimited work hours during semester breaks. For information about workplace rights, minimum wages, and employment conditions in Australia, visit the Fair Work Ombudsman website.

Build Your Experience Through Volunteering

Volunteering is a fantastic way to gain Australian workplace experience, develop new skills, meet people, and strengthen your résumé. Many employers value volunteer experience as it demonstrates initiative, teamwork, and community involvement.

Speak to the Student Experience Coordinator about volunteering opportunites as a Student Leader or Student Ambassador, or learn more about coomunity volunteering through Study Adelaide.
